Ascorbyl Tetraisopalmitate is the oil soluble, extremely stable and effective Vitamin C that we use.

Cherished calming Chamomile has been a go to for many, in fact the tea was also historically used by Egyptians, Greeks, and Romans to treat wounds and promote healing. And just as chamomile helps calm the mind and body, it has similar effects on the skin.
At Amy Devani, we love Chamomile and use both Roman Chamomile (Anthemis nobilis) and German Chamomile (Matricaria recutita). Both are for all skin-types, though are especially good for sensitive skin as they have soothing, calming, anti inflammatory, and replenishing properties in addition to reducing redness, blemishes, and signs of aging.
Both are a gentle embrace for the skin. It’s sweet essence relieves pain and whispers poetry to the heart.
The biggest difference is that German chamomile is an inky blue when it is distilled in to an essential oil.

CoQ10, also known as Ubiquinone is a nifty little compound with powerful antioxidant properties that protect the skin from environmental stressors, even skin tone, plump and smooth your skin.
Coenzyme Q10 is a fat-soluble quinone compound that occurs in our bodies – It is used by the mitchondria cell organelles to help produce internal energy for the body. However, as we age the natural production of CoQ10 reduces quite dramatically. This may be one of the reasons why children have so much energy (and such radiant skin!) compared to their older adult peers.
This little powerhouse has a handful of important jobs, but it's mainly responsible for boosting energy production and protecting us from damage. That saint-like selflessness extends to the skin, which falls victim to stress from UV rays, pollution, and other environmental stressors.
It works to invigorate and strengthen the skin, making it that much better at soaking up nutrients that keep it healthy.
A powerful antioxidant, Coenzyme Q10 helps to protect cells by fighting off the damaging effects of free radicals and maintains the beautiful, youthful radiance of your skin!
Our CoQ10 is derived from fermented natural yeast.
-

Glorious Colloidal Gold!
Colloidal Gold is a suspension of gold nanoparticles in a fluid, usually water. Nanoparticle is a particle with size ranges from 1 to 100 nanometer. 1 nanometer is equivalent to 0.000000001 meter.
Known for its antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties, studies showed that colloidal gold can penetrate deeper into the skin and acts as a carrier for other active ingredients. It helps improve the efficacy of skincare products. Due to its soothing and rejuvenating properties, colloidal gold is the ideal skincare ingredient for all skin types particularly sensitive skin.
Several studies in Nanomedicine indicated the major potential role of colloidal gold in the wound healing process. Colloidal gold delivers nutrients and oxygen to injured cells which helps speed up the skin's healing process. The ability of colloidal gold to activate the cellular renewal mechanism in the skin can help reduce the signs of ageing such as wrinkles, lines, sagging skin and loss of elasticity. It also strengthens skin's barrier function and protects the skin from irritants and allergens.
Colloidal Gold helps neutralise free radicals and strengthen the skin's defense against environmental aggressors. These damages accelerate the skin's ageing process and increase the risk for skin cancer.
Enjoy the golden glow!

(Sodium Hyaluronate)
Over half of the Hyaluronic acid found in the body is present in the skin layers of the dermis and epidermis. Hyaluronic acid keeps skin hydrated and facilitates the transport of nutrients to the cells. With age, the ability of skin to produce Hyaluronic acid decreases leaving the skin unnourished and wrinkled. Hyaluronic acid is the subject of a great deal of research due to it’s amazing properties to rejuvenate and moisturize the skin.

Everlasting Immortelle (Helichrysum Italicum) is stellar and shines divine for all kinds of skincare. “Helichrysum” comes from the Greek “Helios,” meaning the sun, and “chrysos,” signifying gold, you would be right to assume this must be a magical herb. Helichrysum has been appreciated for its powerful healing benefits for centuries. Some sources even suggest it was offered to Greek Gods.
Native to the Mediterranean region in Europe, Helichrysum has been a staple in medicine thanks to its powerful anti-inflammatory properties and high antioxidant content. Once picked, this beautiful flower retains its distinctively vibrant yellow color without fading or withering, which explains why it’s also referred to by the names “Immortelle” or “Everlasting.”
Helichrysum’s unique chemical compounds, such as curcumene, di-ketones, and neryl-acetate make this herb a superior skincare treatment that offers unparalleled anti-inflammatory and regenerative powers. Helichrysum stimulates the production of healthy skin cells, combats metabolic cellular aging, and therefore effectively reduces the appearance of fine lines, wrinkles, stretch marks, and scars. This wonder plant is also an effective remedy in cases of burned or sun-damaged skin thanks to its potent, pain-relieving abilities and anti-inflammatory properties. Additionally, the antifungal and antimicrobial effects of this “sun gold” oil are said to offer protection from various skin irritations, including rashes and other infections.
It is a prised essential oil, and for good reason; not only is it amazing for the skin, it takes a ton of immortelle flowers to create just a kilogram of oil! This makes Helichrysum one of the most expensive and labor-intensive herbs to procure, and as an unfortunate result comes with a history of adulteration. Our Helichrysum Oil is extracted from plants grown in the cool mountainous climates of Croatia and has undergone extensive testing to ensure its high quality.
Immortelle aids in abating the appearance of scars, spots, melasma, redness and fine lines. This multifaceted gem of an oil is uplifting emotionally as well. It is great for oily skin, helping to soothe acne scars, hyperpigmentation and age spots. Immortelle is also considered an ideal addition in products for sensitive skin, because it is so gentle that it can be used on children as well – which is why it is often compared to chamomile.
Just like most oils, it helps against dry skin, but it also has a powerful anti-aging effect – it makes the skin firmer and more elastic, smooths existing fine lines and helps with texture.
Inspiring Immortelle is one of the top performing oils in the pantheon of botanicals for skincare perfection. This rare gem has potent restorative properties that markedly improve the appearance of skin imperfections.

Joyous Jojoba! Our organic cold-pressed golden Jojoba oil is one of the best allies for our skin.
About 30% of our skin’s sebum (the natural substance that coats our skin) is a natural wax ester. It helps kill germs, smother viruses, and creates a protective barrier for locking in moisture. There are many reasons this protective wax ester in our skin diminishes. Loss is normal in mature skin and common after illness, poor nutrition, as a side effect of certain medications, and following aggressive cleansing or treatment protocols. When our natural sebum production has been compromised and the wax ester depleted, skin can be left feeling and looking dry, tired, and dull.
This is where the golden magic of jojoba comes in. Your skin recognizes the liquid wax produced from the seed of the jojoba plant as similar to its own natural wax ester. When applied topically, skin pores remain open, allowing jojoba to penetrate beyond the epidermis layer, carrying other important nutrients with it. It is in these deeper layers that cell regeneration and cell synthesis occur.
Jojoba naturally contains a balance of vitamins A, B, D, and E which are known as skin healing vitamins, as well as minerals like chromium, copper, and zinc, all of which nourish and protect skin from environmental stressors. Essential fatty acids omega 6 and 9 help to regenerate skin cells and repair damaged skin tissue. Jojoba’s wax ester fills the gaps between skin cells, soothes and slows their metabolism and protects skin against accelerated skin aging. Jojoba is naturally antibacterial, antiviral, antifungal, analgesic, anti-inflammatory, and hypoallergenic.
Singing with a hearty 96% ceramides, glorious golden Jojoba is the seminal supplier of sumptuous ceramides to populations of parched skin. Ceramides make up a key part of our skin’s extra cellular matrix that protects and plumps our skin. The substantive sum of ceramides in Jojoba oil are very similar to those in the skin, and act to balance sebum and maintain moisture. Ceramides act like a magnetic-moisture that bonds, protects, and plumps to truly lock in moisture to the lipid barrier. It has an unparalleled ability to moisturize the skin, balance oil production, deep clean pores, and create long-lasting conditioning effects that soften skin to perfect silk. It is packed with peptides and lipids and contains the highest levels of phenolic compounds found in nature, along with antioxidants and all soluble forms of vitamin E.

We love all things Rose, and use three different types of certified organic Rosehip oils.
Rosa Canina
Rosa Eglanteria
Rosa Canina CO2 extract
Prehistoric findings of rosehips suggest that people have valued and treasured this precious flower since the recording of history began. Cultivated for thousands of years for medicinal and culinary purposes in its native Europe and Asia, the Dog Rose from which the rosehip is formed is regarded as the quintessential classic wild rose associated with romantic English cottage gardens. Long before it beautifully decorated hedgerows throughout Europe, rosehips were treasured for their potent medicinal properties by numerous ancient cultures, including Greeks, Romans, Persians, and Chinese, where they provided treatment for various disorders as early as A.D. 77.
These vibrant hips are still treasured for their exceptionally high Vitamin C source. Once the seeds are cold pressed into a light amber colored oil, this gift of nature provides your skin with deep hydration and essential nutrients.
With an impressively long list of potent active compounds including powerful antioxidants, nourishing vitamins, and anti-inflammatory essential fatty acids, rosehip seed oil provides the ultimate treatment to keep your skin healthy and glowing. Its antioxidants prevent the signs and symptoms of premature aging by reducing the appearance of fine lines, wrinkles, and age spots while simultaneously protecting the skin from environmental damage. Its high essential fatty acid content helps to speed up skin's healing process and induce circulation, offering relief for inflammatory conditions such as eczema, psoriasis, rosacea, and acne.

Squalane, derived from olives, is also a component of human sebum (the hydrolipidic film that protects our skin), giving it a natural affinity with our skin. Squalane production peaks in young adulthood and then begins to decline quickly. Use of olive squalane helps replenish that loss, resulting in the smoother, more elastic look of youth.
This botanical lipid exhibits the same molecular structure and weight as human lipids. Squalane has the remarkable characteristic of penetrating the skin rapidly and completely. This almost immediate absorption rate makes it the perfect carrier and deliver system for beneficial actives.
This odorless oil is an antioxidant, that prevents UV damage and the formation of age spots, promotes cell regeneration and is an antibacterial. It also helps restores moisture balance without feeling greasy.

Ylang ylang (Cananga odorata) essential oil comes from flower petals of the large, tropical ylang ylang tree. Today, ylang ylang trees are widely grown in tropical areas throughout Asia, including Indonesia, the Philippines and the Polynesian islands.
What does ylang ylang smell like? Ylang ylang actually means “flower of flowers” and was given this name because of its sweet, floral scent. In fact, you can recognize ylang ylang’s smell as one of the key ingredients used in the legendary perfume Chanel No. 5.
Research shows that this oil has positive effects on immune health, blood flow and emotions, making it a natural remedy for the endocrine, cardiovascular, reproductive and digestive systems.
One of the most popular uses for this oil is applying it to the skin in order to preserve a “youthful glow” and help prevent signs of aging or irritation. It is even powerful at fighting the development of skin cancer cells and melanoma.
Why is ylang ylang essential oil good for skin? Studies show that high-quality ylang ylang oil holds a high percentage of active constituents called terpenoids. Isolated terpenoid derivatives (including canangaterpenes IV-VI) show promising results as natural therapeutic agents for the treatment of several skin disorders.
When tested on cancerous melanoma skin cells, terpenoid compounds exhibit a potent inhibitory effect on cell melanogenesis and immune-system cytotoxicity. In other words, antioxidants in this oil help protect skin cells from oxidative stress and DNA damage that can lead to cancer cell formation.
